Liberty Baptist Church ...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Statement of Faith

The custom of substituting the word “God” with G-d in English is based on the traditional practice of giving God’s Hebrew name a higher degree of respect and reverence. (Click here for more information on the Hebrew use of G-d in place of God.)

THE BIBLE (the Word of G-d)

We believe in the inerrancy of the Scripture that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God.

ISAIAH 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I (G-d Almighty) please, and it shall prosper whereunto I sent it.”

2 TIMOTHY 3:16 & 17 “All scripture is given by inspiration (G-D breathed) of G-D, and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of G-D may be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

We believe in one personal, transcendent and Holy God, the Creator of all, who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

“Hear O Israel the L-RD our G-D is ONE.” DEUTERONOMY 6:4, MARK 12:29

Who in JOHN 17:22 expresses His Oneness as the Abba/Father, Messiah/Son, and Shekinah/Holy Presence/Spirit and from the same scripture wants to express His Oneness in us and in us becoming one with Him and with each other.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with G-D, and the Word was G-D. The same was in the beginning with G-D. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and that life is the light of men.” JOHN 1:1-4

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld His Glory as the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.” JOHN 1:14

“And the SPIRIT of G-D moved (brooded) upon the face of the waters.” GENESIS 1:2

Nothing holy or eternal is done without Him. ZECHARIAH 4:6

Was upon Jesus/Yeshua Christ/Messiah in fullness. ISAIAH 11:1-4, COLASSIANS 2:9-10

Comes to believers to comfort, lead into all truth and bring the life of JESUS into us. JOHN 14:16-26, EPHESIANS 2:5-6

Dwells in our bodies. 1 CORINTHIANS 3:16

Sin is rebellion against G-D, knowingly or unknowingly; but we can be made acceptable thru the One who can handle sin for us.

EPHESIANS 1:3-6 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”

ROMANS 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

ROMANS 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

ROMANS 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 “For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

What the L-RD indispensably supplied for us to live as sons and daughters. 2 PETER 1:3

Must be used with wisdom and maturity. 1 CORINTHIANS 14:32-33

The greatest of them is love and without love all other gifts become useless. 1 CORINTHIANS 13:8

We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to the earth.

REVELATION 20:6 “Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.”

2 TIMOTHY2:11-13 “It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”

The believer is required to honor the Master with these two acts of faith.

MATTHEW 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing (baptizo Greek to immerse) them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

1 CORINTHIANS 11:23-26 “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.”

JESUS nor the Scriptures ever refer to your spiritual life. You either walk with GOD or you do not walk with GOD.
